Greetings once again to all current ISCA students
As we continue to grapple with the challenges presented by COVID-19 and how it has affected us here in Australia and the globe, we are pleased to say that ICMS continues to have no known cases of COVID-19 within our community.
Please note that our online delivery will continue for all courses until the end of the study period. We appreciate your support in this period of transition.
Online study is essential owing to the ongoing need for students and staff to practise social distancing, and with many of our facilities closed during this period, we hope you keep up to date with the latest strength & conditioning programs supplied by our hard-working staff.
Throughout this online teaching period, students will receive support from their lecturers and the wider ICMS student support community, such as the Student Success Centre and Student Services. Staff will respond to your query as soon as possible (within 2 working days) but please be patient as staff are working very hard to give all our students the attention they need.
It is essential to complete assessments, but there may be some modifications to the way in which they are conducted or in the due dates. Any upcoming excursions (such as our scheduled Australian Institute of Sport Canberra trip) are postponed until further notice.
Students who have made enquiries regarding their Work Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects – we cannot arrange any work placements at this stage owing to health advice. There is a possibility that this may also affect future professional placements which could be delayed until a later period in your study plan.
The goal of these changes is to minimise the need to gather in groups and spend a prolonged period of time in close proximity with each other in spaces such as classrooms.
The decision to move to remote instruction has not been made lightly.
We understand that it will be difficult to leave your friends and your classrooms. We are doing this not just to protect our students but also to protect other members of our wider community who may be more vulnerable to this virus.
Please use your usual Moodle access to join your online classes. Click here for FAQs.
Kind regards,
