EASTWOOD AND ISCA SCHOLARSHIP: HOW HARRY JORDAN BALANCES STUDY AND SPORT

Skye

Balancing life as a student and an athlete is no small feat, but for Harry Jordan, ISCA has been the perfect place to succeed both on and off the field.

At the 2026 ICMS Scholarship Ceremony, Harry shared his journey, focusing on how International Sport College Australia (ISCA) has supported him in managing the challenges of being both a student and an athlete.

“Like a lot of students, my journey hasn’t always been easy,” Harry said. “There have been challenges, whether it’s balancing study, work, or training. But this scholarship has helped take some of that pressure away and allowed me to focus more on growing, learning, and pushing myself to be better.”

A Strong Community

For Harry, the sense of community at ISCA has been a highlight of his experience.

Pursuing a Diploma of Sports Management (High Performance) and studying alongside peers who share his passion for sport has created an environment where students not only learn together but also support one another.

“My class and my friends are people who I’ve played with and against for many years in rugby,” Harry explained. “To be able to be brought together to study and train in something that we are all interested in is amazing. We’ve all become extremely close within our first term.”

Harry also acknowledged the role of ISCA staff in creating this environment. “This is a direct result of the commitment of people like Ian [Evans] and Annisa [Elcheikh] from ISCA with what they have shown to us over the past few months,” he said.

Confidence in the Journey

Harry spoke about how his time at ISCA has given him the confidence to trust his path.

The recognition of his hard work and the opportunities he’s been given have reinforced that he’s heading in the right direction, both academically and professionally.

“It has given me confidence to see that the hard work I’ve put in has been recognised and that I’m on the right path in my sport and my studies,” Harry said. “It has also opened doors to opportunities that I may not have otherwise, both academically and professionally.”

Looking Ahead

Harry won the Eastwood and ISCA Scholarship, and as he looks to the future, he’s proud to represent ISCA and the values it instils in its students.

“Once again, thank you to both ISCA and ISCA for this opportunity,” Harry said. “I’m excited to see what’s ahead and proud to represent this community.”
